Kingdom Mentality - Message 1: “From Religion to Royalty: The Shift Begins”
The central theme of this podcast episode is the imperative transition from a mindset steeped in religious dogma to one that embraces a Kingdom mentality, as exemplified by the teachings of Jesus Christ. We embark on a profound journey that seeks to dismantle the shackles of traditional religious thinking, urging believers to recognize their identity as citizens of the Kingdom of God rather than mere members of a religious institution. This inaugural segment of our series, titled "From Religion to Royalty," elucidates the necessity of understanding Jesus' proclamation of the Kingdom, which is fundamentally about establishing divine governance on Earth. We delve into the significance of repentance as a transformative process, emphasizing that it is not merely an emotional act but a fundamental shift in one's cognitive framework towards Kingdom principles. Our objective is to empower listeners to manifest their royal identity, thereby enhancing their influence and responsibility within the Kingdom.
The discussion commences with a heartfelt welcome, emphasizing the podcast's mission to inspire faith and empower lives through the teachings of Jesus Christ. As we embark on a new series entitled 'The Kingdom Mentality: Thinking Like Heaven on Earth', we draw upon the profound insights of the late Dr. Miles Munroe. This series is meticulously crafted to liberate believers from the shackles of conventional religious thinking and awaken them to the transformative mindset of the Kingdom of God. Our primary objective is to encourage individuals to cease adopting a beggar's mentality within the Kingdom and instead embrace a posture befitting citizens of the Kingdom. The inaugural message, 'From Religion to Royalty', serves as a clarion call to understand the fundamental difference between the Kingdom of God and mere religious practice. We delve into the essence of Jesus' teachings, asserting that He did not come to establish a religion but to usher in a divine government—a Kingdom that transcends human rituals and traditions.
In this enlightening discourse, we articulate the crucial distinction between religion and the Kingdom. Religion is depicted as humanity's fruitless endeavor to seek God, whereas the Kingdom represents God's sovereign authority manifesting on earth. We reflect on how traditional religious structures can inadvertently obstruct the Kingdom's entrance into our consciousness, as articulated by Dr. Munroe, who boldly posited that the greatest adversary of the Kingdom is, in fact, religion itself. This series aims to reframe our understanding of faith, urging listeners to adopt a Kingdom mindset characterized by authority and responsibility rather than servitude and dependency. The discussion culminates in practical applications, prompting introspection on one's approach to faith: Are we engaging in ritualistic practices, or are we living as active ambassadors of the Kingdom?

Speaker A:The shift begins.
Speaker A:But he said to them, I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.
Speaker A:Luke 4:43 Brothers and sisters, let me say something very bold.
Speaker A:From the start, Jesus didn't come to start Christianity.
Speaker A:He came to establish a kingdom.
Speaker A:And for far too long, the church has settled for religion, rituals, rites, routines, while ignoring the very thing Jesus preached, the Kingdom of God.
Speaker A:You see, religion is man's search for God, but the kingdom is God's government invading earth.
Speaker A:Religion is ritual without royalty.
Speaker A:Religion teaches us to stay busy in church.
Speaker A:Kingdom teaches us to bring heaven to earth.
Speaker A:Religion gives you a membership.
Speaker A:Kingdom gives you citizenship.
Speaker A: Matthew: Speaker A:You shut the door of the kingdom of of heaven in people's faces.
Speaker A:Religion can actually block the Kingdom of God from entering your mind.
Speaker A:Dr.
Speaker A:Munro said the greatest enemy of the kingdom is religion.
Speaker A:It substitutes rituals for relationship, tradition for truth and Membership for citizenship.
Speaker A:Religion teaches us to be servants begging for mercy.
Speaker A:The Kingdom teaches us to be sons walking in authority.
Speaker A:Jesus never preached a religion.
Speaker A:Are you shocked?
Speaker A:So was I.
Speaker A:Go and search the Gospels.
Speaker A:Go ahead.
Speaker A:Take your time.
Speaker A:You will never find Jesus saying, I came to bring a religion.
Speaker A:Instead.
Speaker A:He said, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Speaker A:He said this before he healed, before he cast out demons, before he picked up disciples.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because the Kingdom is the framework.
Speaker A:Everything else flows from it.
Speaker A:The Church often preaches Calvary and we should.
Speaker A:But Calvary was not the end goal.
Speaker A:It was the door to the kingdom.
Speaker A:Kingdom mentality begins with repentance.
Speaker A:Now don't shout me down.
Speaker A:Repentance is not crying at the altar.
Speaker A:It's not feeling sorry.
Speaker A:Repentance means to change your mind.
Speaker A:Jesus was saying, change the way you think.
Speaker A:Because a new government is here.
Speaker A:You cannot think like a religious person and walk in kingdom power.
Speaker A:Religion says, wait till heaven.
Speaker A:Kingdom says, bring heaven here.
Speaker A:Religion says, get saved and sit down.
Speaker A:Kingdom says, get transformed and take over.
Speaker A:Royalty requires responsibility.
Speaker A:If you are a Kingdom citizen, you have rights and responsibilities.
Speaker A:Philippians 3:20 tells us.
Speaker A:But our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a savior from there.
Speaker A:You're not just a church member, you're a Kingdom ambassador.
Speaker A:That means you're not supposed to fit in.
Speaker A:You're supposed to stand out.
Speaker A:Religion trains you to maintain.
Speaker A:Kingdom trains you to multiply.
Speaker A:Jesus didn't die just so you could be a nice moral churchgoer.
Speaker A:Jesus died so you could be a royal, spirit filled representative of heaven on earth.
Speaker A:Here are some Kingdom principles to start practicing.
Speaker A:Stop seeing Sunday as the main event.
Speaker A:It's the locker room.
Speaker A:Monday through Saturday is the game.
Speaker A:Speak life and decree truth like a citizen, not a slave.
Speaker A:Study the Constitution, your Bible like a legal document.
Speaker A:Stop asking God for what he already gave you access to.
Speaker A:Now here are some questions for reflection.
Speaker A:1.
Speaker A:Do I treat my faith as religion or kingdom citizenship?
Speaker A:2.
Speaker A:Have I settled for rituals instead of reigning?
Speaker A:3.
Speaker A:What thoughts must I repent of to start thinking like royalty?
Speaker A:Let us pray.
Speaker A:Father, today I reject every religious mindset.
Speaker A:I repent for limiting you to a Sunday experience or a set of rituals.
Speaker A:I embrace your kingdom.
Speaker A:I receive my citizenship, my assignment and my authority.
Speaker A:I will no longer think like a slave.
Speaker A:I will think like a son.
Speaker A:I will think like a daughter.
Speaker A:I will.
Speaker A:I will think like an ambassador, a king or a queen.
Speaker A:In Jesus name, amen.
